A soundboard of spruce and a body of rosewood combine to create a warm tone in the Arched Mountain Dulcimer. "Arched" refers to the underside of the fretboard which features two sweeping arches which help free the soundboard. The sculpted strum hollow fits a variety of playing styles, and the tailpiece anchors the loop end strings on the side, and provides a handrest when fingerpicking. The carved scroll pegbox features geared 4:1 banjo style tuners.
